The next day John woke up to the sound of rain tapping on the tent. "Oh-oh. Maybe
the plane won't land if the weather's bad!" He poked his head out of the tent
to see his grandparents spreading a tarp between some trees.
"Come and help us John," said Etseh. "We can stand under here without getting
wet and keep our gear dry until the plane comes."
"Do you think it can land in this weather?" asked John as he held up one corner
of the blue tarp.
"He?e. The clouds are still high and the pilot can see us even though it's
raining a bit," said Etseh. "We'll call them on the radio in a few hours
to give them a weather report."
