They spent three days at "Moose Camp", as John called it. This gave everyone enough
time to finish the dry meat and scrape the big moose hide. Etseh took the hide
off the rack and rolled in into a neat bundle.
"John! Dzonchleh! Try carrying this now that we've scraped and dried the
hide," said Etseh.
John stood still as Etseh placed the bundle on his back and put the tumpline over
his forehead.
"Hey! This isn't bad at all. I thought it would be really heavy!" John said.
They packed the hide in the canoe along with all their gear, gave thanks to the
water and pushed off.
